This website is supported by the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales and the Department of Health. A funded project which has been set up to run a good practice / information sharing network on all initiatives concerned with Learning Disability and Ethnicity. The project began in August 2003 and was formally launched by Stephen Ladyman, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Department of Health at a national conference in London.


This website contains information drawn from the newsletter of the Network.

The Network exists to:
• Encourage the sharing of good practice
• Inform policy by collective response
• Provide information
• Provide opportunity for discussion
• Share training resources
• Keep people informed in order to make change happen.

The project produces three newsletters a year and hosts an annual conference as well as facilitates networks and information sharing amongst interested parties. In order to be part of this network please
