Training that has already been approved
This training pack from ARC covers all the learning that is required for the LDQ. The new worker can easily complete the learning in the workplace (with the support of a more experienced worker) within the 12 weeks maximum time allowed for induction. This training pack costs from only £55 per person.
The assessment package from TASS UK includes marking, verification and certification of outcomes for all four units, helpline support, progress summaries and qualification updates. This package costs from only £105 per person. The training followed by the assessment will enable the new worker to achieve the LDQ (the national induction qualification that is required in learning disability services). To order click here
Basic Steps: A taught programme for managers / trainers for anyone beginning work in learning disability services
- This training pack from ARC contains all the materials a trainer or manager would need to run courses covering essential knowlege for new workers in Learning Disability services. The training pack costs £295.
- The contents of the training pack are already approved for LDQ by TASS UK. Trainers who chose to offer LDQ assessment through TASS UK will need to send their details for approval and to register with TASS UK. This will cost just £20.56 per trainer. The LDQ assessment package for learners can then be purchased from TASS UK from only £105 per person The LDQ assessment package includes marking, verification certification of outcomes for all four units, helpline support, progress summaries and qualification updates.

Get your own training programme approved
TASS UK are able to approve an organisation's own induction training programme for LDQ. Approval through TASS UK involves self assessment against the LDQ learning outcomes and assessment criteria. TASS UK will provide the materials to do this and support organisations through the process. There is a one off cost for this of just £91 per unit (inc VAT). Once a training programme is approved, learners can be registered and processed through the TASS UK Centre. .
